Sometimes when working to resolve an issue on a Windows system it may be necessary for us to request a System Information File. The article below from Microsoft details how to save a copy (in the Learn More section at the bottom) and describes how to open System Information, what it does and how to work with it.
When viewing the System Information a copy can be saved by choosing File > Export and attaching the saved file to your support ticket.
Please be sure to use Export not Save, the Export function saves the report as a text file we can then search more efficiently when assisting you.
Opening System Information
- Click the Start menu and type 'System Information' or 'msinfo32'
- Win-R and type 'msinfo32'
